| MSBA's Safe Surfacing Program Receives Governor's Council Endorsement |

The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health recently endorsed the Missouri Playground Surfacing Program. This program is a partnership between the Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) and the National Safe Surfacing Initiative, LLC (NSSI) in an effort to promote physical fitness and health through safe playgrounds for Missouri’s school children. |

| Children in Rolla Missouri Start School with Safer Playground |

The first day of school in Rolla Missouri brings with it safer surfacing for the elementary students playing outside at Wyman Elementary today. The rubber tile surfacing, installed this summer, has been shown to reduce emergency room injuries by 75% when combined with safety training an important statistic considering that 80% of all school injuries happen outside. |

The National Safe Surfacing Initiative (NSSI) has just announced that its supplier of playground safety products, Welch Products, has just made a special purchase of finely ground rubber from Greenman Technologies. Because of the lower cost of doing business with this local supplier, Welch Products will pass savings on to the NSSI for its playground surfacing customers in the state of Iowa. |
